The Innovation Fund of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Montenegro, is organising the seminar “Innovations in the Blue Economy – Living Lab Concept, Projects and Opportunities for Montenegro” on 24 September 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Faculty of Maritime Studies (Kotor, Put I Bokeljske brigade 44).
The seminar is organized within the project “Innovation Network for the Development of Solutions and Technologies for a Sustainable Blue Economy in the ADRION Region – INNOVABLUE”, funded under the IPA Adrion (2021–2027) programme. The INNOVABLUE project aims to foster a sustainable blue economy in the ADRION region by creating a dynamic innovation network through cooperation between science, industry and the public sector. It is implemented by the Innovation Fund of Montenegro together with partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Serbia, North Macedonia and Cyprus from July 2024 to December 2026.

During the seminar, the Living Lab concept and its opportunities for the development of innovative marine technologies will be presented through examples from the Faculty of Maritime Studies and the project’s lead partner – the Digital Innovation Hub Innovamare. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about innovative marine technologies that contribute to the sustainable development of the blue economy, ongoing projects and EU funding opportunities for innovative initiatives, including a live demonstration of underwater drones and other marine technologies.
The seminar is open to all interested participants with mandatory registration by 22 September 2025.
