On 25 June, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro organised the event “A Sea of Opportunities – EU Projects for Sustainable Blue Economy in Montenegro”, bringing together representatives of institutions, organisations, research centres, universities, companies and decision-makers involved in blue economy projects.
The event also featured the presentation of the INNOVABLUE – Innovation network for development of solutions and technologies for sustainable blue economy in the ADRION region project, implemented within the Interreg IPA ADRION 2021–2027 Programme. As one of the project partners, the Innovation Fund of Montenegro presented the key objectives, achieved results and ongoing activities aimed at strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the field of sustainable blue economy.
Special attention was given to the importance of connecting the research community, businesses, institutions and business support organisations, as well as to the development of the Living Lab concept as a framework for testing innovative solutions and technologies in real-life environments.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, present the results of EU-funded projects and open space for new initiatives and partnerships that can contribute to the sustainable development of the blue economy in Montenegro and the wider ADRION region.
