The Innovation Fund of Montenegro participated in the second working meeting within the INNOVABLUE project, held online on March 26, 2025.
This meeting brought together project partners and key stakeholders from the ADRION region to exchange experiences and discuss existing regulatory frameworks, as well as opportunities for testing innovative technologies in the blue economy in real-life (marine and freshwater) environments.
The focus of the working meeting was on:
- identifying regulatory barriers and ways to overcome them,
- establishing thematic working groups for the development of regulatory sandbox models and simplified administrative procedures for testing innovations,
- identifying available financial instruments to support these initiatives.
Although innovative technologies in the blue economy offer great potential, testing and implementation in real environments require a comprehensive approach that includes regulatory, technical, and financial aspects. The goal of the meeting was to launch a joint initiative among partners and stakeholders from the ADRION region to develop recommendations for regulatory reforms that will enable more efficient testing and implementation of innovations in practice.
We invite all stakeholders from the fields of the blue economy, innovation, and public administration to follow the activities of the INNOVABLUE project and contribute to the development of sustainable and applicable solutions!
