Innovation Fund of Montenegro strengthens dialogue on blue economy innovation
As part of the INNOVABLUE project activities, from January to the end of May 2025, the Innovation Fund of Montenegro organized a series of meetings and presentations to introduce the project to key stakeholders in Montenegro.
The project was presented to government institutions – including ministries and agencies, as well as to the research community, private companies, and NGOs active in the field of blue economy.
These meetings enabled open dialogue on current initiatives in the sector, helping to identify key national projects related to the blue economy implemented by Montenegrin institutions. The discussions also addressed the existing legal and regulatory frameworks that govern the testing of innovative blue technologies in real-life conditions, including maritime, coastal, and river environments.
This exchange of ideas and insights significantly contributed to joint effortsof INNOVABLUE partners across the Adrion region to address regulatory challenges and develop concrete recommendations that facilitate innovation in real-world settings.
The Innovation Fund of Montenegro remains committed to fostering dialogue and cooperation between institutions, academia, and the private sector in support of innovative solutions in the blue economy sector.
