The Fund for Innovation and Technology Development of Republic of North Macedonia has opened a public call “Western Balkans Innovation Vouchers”, which is intended to support scientific research projects and encourage cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and higher education institutions and research and development organizations. The call “Western Balkans Innovation Vouchers” is part of the European project “Policy Answers” in which FITD received the main role in piloting support measures for research, development and innovation in all economies of the Western Balkans. The project is financed by the Horizon Europe program.
The call is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the Western Balkans region, while public research institutions will be service providers. The applicant and the service provider must be from two different economies from the Western Balkans.
The total budget for allocating funds through “Innovation Vouchers” amounts to 240,000 euros. One voucher can reduce up to 80% of the total costs provided by the higher education institution / research and development organizations from the public sector, up to a maximum amount of 8,000 euros, excluding VAT.
Application deadline for the WB Innovation Voucher is 20 November 2024.
