The Plug-In Scheme provides users of the Collaborative Grants for Innovation program with an opportunity to directly engage with the prestigious EIC Accelerator program. This significantly simplifies the process and increases the chances of successful further placement. This mechanism is already delivering tangible results – the company Flourish d.o.o., a grant beneficiary of the Innovation Fund, took advantage of the accreditation benefits and successfully passed the national-level evaluation organized by the Fund. As a result, it earned the right to directly apply for the EIC Accelerator program. Additionally, the company has access to mentoring and coaching services provided by this prestigious program, which further strengthen its capacity for developing and marketing innovative solutions.
The EIC Accelerator is one of the leading European programs, with a budget of €10 billion for the 2021–2027 period. It is aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, startups, and spin-off companies. The program supports the development of revolutionary innovations that can create new markets or improve existing ones, with a special focus on projects contributing to the goals of the European Green Deal and the Recovery Plan for Europe.
The implementation of the Plug-In scheme within the “Collaborative Grants for Innovation“ program reaffirms the Innovation Fund of Montenegro’s commitment to supporting domestic companies on their path to internationalization and positioning Montenegro as a recognizable destination for innovation development. The Fund will continue to enhance its programs and create new opportunities for domestic companies to ensure their competitiveness in European and global markets.
