On 26 March 2026, INNOVABLUE and ROBONETCBC will jointly organize a workshop in Podgorica, Montenegro, titled: “From Offer and Needs to Proof of Concept: Co-creating the Future of Blue Technologies” The workshop will take place at Hotel Ramada (Lesendro Hall, 5th floor), Blvd. Save Kovačevića 74, Podgorica, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the working language will be English.
This joint event is designed as a concrete step from analysis of current state to creating innovative solutions, bringing together scientific knowledge, technological capacity and real user needs to support the development of practical solutions in the field of blue technologies. A key focus of the workshop will be the identification of priority challenges and the co-design of early Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for innovative solutions that can improve the monitoring and protection of marine and freshwater ecosystems.
The workshop aims to actively engage key stakeholders — including public authorities, academia, NGOs, technology providers and other potential users — through structured discussions and thematic working sessions. Participants will help define needs, validate challenges and contribute directly to the development of practical and relevant innovation concepts.
Discussions will build on key ROBONETCBC analytical outputs related to the status of marine and freshwater ecosystems, pollution pressures, biodiversity, as well as existing monitoring systems, equipment and data exchange practices. In this way, the workshop will provide a shared space for aligning ecosystem challenges with real technological opportunities and user demand.
By joining forces, INNOVABLUE and ROBONETCBC further strengthen cross-border cooperation and support the development, testing and uptake of innovative blue technologies that respond to concrete environmental and societal needs in the region.
