The Innovation Fund of Montenegro participates as an associate partner in the ERASMUS+ project “IoT Green Transformation for Academic Society and Business Oriented Ecosystem in Western Balkans – IoT ECO” financed  within the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 program.  Kick off meeting – the official opening of the IOT-ECO project was orginized at the Technical University in Sofia on January 24-28, 2023.

The project began with implementation on December 1, 2022. and will last 36 months.  The consortium consists of nine partners from Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and Austria.

Iot ECO project focus on strengthening of relations between higher education, business and the wider economic and social environment through the “Partnerships for transformation in higher education”, which aim to have a large and wider impact on innovation, university/business relations and institutional governance.

The project will contribute to the European Green Deal (turning the EU into the first climate neutral continent by 2050) priority of the Call through building capacity in IoT/IoE technologies for green transformation and sustainable industry. It is also connected with the Sustainable European Investment Plan.
